Community Course: The Young and the Restless: St. Augustine’s Confessions

Why let the students have all of the fun? This reading group is available for members of the community who want to encounter one of the most influential texts of the Catholic tradition. A profound reflection on human longing, the intractability and emptiness of sin, and the working of grace, the Confessions are Augustine's personal story of conversion as a window into the human soul.

Each session will consist of a Socratic discussion of the assigned section of the Confessions, and we will complete the book over three sessions. Registrants will receive a copy of the text in the mail along with the reading schedule.
